Ray Local runs processing on your own device. It is the right choice for privacy, offline workflows, travel, and users who want a one-time license.

Ray Cloud runs processing on Ray servers. It is the right choice for lower-spec devices, heavy subtitle workloads, sharing, embedding, bulk processing, and workflows that need more compute.

You can choose based on the job instead of committing to one mode forever.

What platforms are planned?

Ray is designed around the idea that video does not live on one device. Desktop, mobile, web, media servers, TV experiences, browser extensions, and living-room devices are all part of the roadmap.

The immediate priority is making the core Ray experience reliable on the platforms people use most often for video.
